Restless Leg Syndrome

Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) is a neurological disorder characterized by uncomfortable sensations in the legs and an uncontrollable urge to move them to relieve the discomfort. These sensations typically occur during periods of rest or inactivity, such as when sitting or lying down, and often worsen at night.

 

The sensations associated with RLS are often described as:

 

1. Crawling, creeping, or itching sensations deep within the legs.

2. Aching, throbbing, or pulling sensations.

3. The feeling of "pins and needles" or electric shocks.
